A SINKING SHIP?

ROUGH WATERS AHEAD
DELTA WILLING TO TOSS PEOPLE OVERBOARD

We’ve all seen the movie when a ship suddenly experiences tragedy; whether it be an ice berg or weather; perhaps engine failure, maybe crew failure. The word goes out and all are ordered to abandon ship. How traumatic this moment must be for everyone. The crew that is left behind to sink with the condemned and die is a solemn moment that has been captured by historical recounting or first person testimony countless times in our history.

But what about the leaders who get to survive? What about the ‘Captains' who are important enough to find passage in lifeboats off of the distressed vessel? How about their story?

Delta succumbed once already and many employees went down with the original ship. They were left to suck their last breaths while the ship slowly sank; the fat cats stowed away with the women and the frail on lifeboats only to rise again as rich men who fattened their wallets after the ‘corpse’ of Delta had been resurrected to live once more despite the memories of those who had been left behind to perish.

Well, guess what? Those of you who survived the original sinking of Delta are about to be tossed off the vessel again and will be forced to tread water in these economic ‘undertows’. Will you be able to survive a second swamping?

Your leaders don’t give a hoot about you; they are measuring how much loot they can extract from the lifeless corpse of the second coming of Delta.

They are sitting in the drifting lifeboat with the original survivors and are eyeing who to throw off next in order to stay afloat long enough to cash out their ill gotten gains.

The boat is filling with water and Richard Anderson has asked his minions to find someone else to sacrifice in order for the survivors to stay above the water for just a little longer. Never mind that the hull is leaking and the people who know how to repair the damage were the first tossed overboard when weight became an issue.

It’s all about timing; let’s stay afloat long enough for the leaders to survive and cash out. Never mind the health of the entire airline. Tossing essential components of our future is not important to those who don’t plan on making Delta a permanent home.

Who cares if the experts who know how to make money and run an airline are gone as long as the money changers get wealthy and healthy? You’re on you own folks; we got ours. If you can’t swim to shore; sink and die.

This scenario is real and you who trust these charlatans will find yourselves alone, floating and sucking water bubbles through your nostrils very soon unless you trust those who have protected airline workers for decades; the IAM.

Grab the life vest and paddle on to shore. We will wring you out and fix the ship, with or without the greedy corporate hacks that set you adrift in the first place.
